Our Philosophy of Practice

As Naturopathic doctors, we believe in a well-proven medical approach that draws from a wide history of medical traditions and the latest research.

Vis Medicatrix Naturae (The Healing Power of Nature)

The body has an inherent power to maintain health and restore itself. Therefore our goal is to remove obstacles and act as an assistant to this process. The benefit is that you are healing from the inside out, which gives longer lasting health.

Tolle Causum (Find the Cause)

Illness does not occur without cause. Underlying causes must be identified and removed before complete recovery. The result for you is a reversal in the disease process and improved quality of life.

Primum Non Nocere (First Do No Harm)

Use methods that pose the least amount of harm to the patient. We follow a therapeutic order, which starts with the least invasive, such as lifestyle changes, and leads to the most invasive, such as surgery. This allows your body to heal as it was programmed.

Docere (Doctor as Teacher)

The physician’s role is to educate the patient so the patient has control over their own health.

Holism (Treat the Whole Person)

The basic anatomy of a human being is spirit, soul (mind, emotions, will, desires), and body (the structural and chemical components). All the pieces of the whole must be addressed before total health can exist.

Prevention (Education and promotion of healthy living)

We believe there is a continuum between optimum health and disease. If this continuum is addressed early on disease will be prevented. This is of great benefit because you now will experience great health, extra energy, and a clear mind.
